Apex Educational Consulting Services Inc. is hiring experienced Child and Youth Workers to provide home-based and community services for individuals with autism in the GTA. All staff will be under the supervision of a BCBA and/or Senior Therapist.
Key Responsibilities:
· Implement prescribed behaviour management strategies to address various maladaptive behaviour, including aggression, defiance, self-injury, and property destruction.
·Following a person-directed plan to teach various life skills, including self-care, community participation, home skills, and school readiness.
· Input session notes according to AECS standards, as well as collect and graph data when required.
· Collaborate with team members in program and goal development.
· Attend team meetings as required.
· Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
· A degree or diploma/certificate related to Child and Youth Work
· Background in Applied Behaviour Analysis an asset
· Minimum 2 years of experience in working with severe teens.
· Able to work independently
· Proficient in Word and Excel
· Access to a vehicle is an asset
· Vulnerable Sectors Check
Rate:
$25.00-$33.00 per hour, depending on performance, plus bonuses
Hours: Depends on availability of candidate and clients.
