Senior Storage Administrator [Saudi Arabia]

 

Sarmad, a leading banking institution, is seeking an experienced Senior Storage Administrator / Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing large-scale storage infrastructure, ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors to support the growth and strategic direction of the organization. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to navigate complex technical environments.

Responsibilities :-

• Expertise in managing the Veritas Infoblox, NetBackup

• Managing Veritas NetBackup ,EMC Data Domain, EMC PowerMax, EMC Isilon IBM DS Arrays, Tape Library management and Oracle Key Manager.
• Candidate with strong experience of Handling the Backup Projects, planning and implementation.
• Day to day storage provisioning and allocation –Volumes, LUNs and Virtualization
• Ensures continuous integrity, availability, and performance of storage and backup infrastructure
• Install, configure, and maintain high availability of storage and backup environment.
• Experience of working on the Migrations, Upgrades etc
• Diagnose and troubleshoot backup and storage related issues
• Perform capacity planning of storage and backup solutions
• Participates in the execution of the business continuance and disaster recovery plans
• Perform routine backup policy changes and ensure all backups are properly run and completed
• Provide technical resolution to incidents and problem events related to backup and storage.
• Document operational best practices and procedures.
• Must have a knowledge and experience in SAN and NAS environment such as EMC, IBM.
• Experience in backup such as NetBackup, Data Domain, Tape Library.
• Ability to work and handle all the operations individually.
• Troubleshooting experience in Backup and storage
• Good Knowledge on Operating Systems like Linux, Unix.
• Backup exposure on Cloud Technologies like OpenShift, Oracle Cloud etc
• Excellent customer support and communication skill

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in NetBackup which includes the Backup and Storage Administration.
• Riyadh based or ready to relocate ASAP
